After potentially hexing the Nanner socks by announcing they were done before they actually were (see last entry), I did in fact finish them last night, with an inch of 1x1 ribbing and the wonderful Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind off. So, here they are. Data: toe-up socks, using Judy's Magic Cast on, the Fleegle heel, and the stitch pattern from Wendy Johnson's Nanner sock pattern, Schaefer Anne sock yarn in the Caramel Mint Frappe colorway. This is a very nice pattern, and after two repetitions I no longer needed to follow the chart. These socks fit beautifully, and the Anne is very soft. My first finished project of 2010.
And that was so encouraging that I picked up the Featherweight cardi FO and chose a stitch from the Barbara Walker Treasury of Knitting Patterns, picked up 214 stitches and started the front band. I am using the Slip Stitch Mesh pattern, modified to use garter instead of reverse stockinette. I like it a lot and am really revved to do some more of it. Quick trip to Austin today, but tomorrow should allow for lots of knitting.
Gorgeous! Huge progress since we spoke. I think your knitting mojo has returned!! I hope to have a FO for my blog later today.
